Funky Flower Bag

FUNKY FLOWER BAG
This is like the basic hand bag, but i've given it a form to keep it from stretching. the flower patterns are copywrited, so, either use your own pattern or buy "a dozen snazzy doo dads for your kitchen" from annie's attic for the patterns used here.
NOTES: used and H hook and black worseted weight yarn.
BOTTOM
ch 5, join to form a ring.
row 1: ch 1, 12 sc in ring. join to ch 1 with sl st.
row 2: ch 1, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st. around (18 sts) join with sl st to ch 1.
row 3: ch 1, sc in next 2 st, 2 sc in next st, around (24 sts) join with sl st to ch 1.increase 6 st to each round until you're doing sc in the next 10 st, 2 in next sc.
BODY
ch 1, sc around once using front loops for right side to show or back loops for wrong side to show, join with sl st to ch 1. using both loops, go 27 rows up. end off. using plastic canvas, cut a circle to fit the bottom and a strip to fit the side. sew side piece together to form tube. sew circle to bottom to make form. put form inside of purse and whip stitch around top to keep in place.
STRAPS
ch 56, sc 3 or 4 rows and end with a sl st row. end off. make two. attatch to side like you'd sew on a button.
