class picture in web albums

that class picture is from mrs. riplogals (spelled wrong probably) 1st grade class at catoosa, ok elementary somewhere in early 1980. i'm the one on the back row in the red sweatshirt... yes... i looked like a boy... i was a tomboy. i've got it posted for some friends to see.

pics of new baby blanket

finished baby afghan for teacher's first grand baby. used the crazy stitch with that red heart banana berry multi yarn and a J hook. turned out real cute and it was super quick. unlike that one i did with the bernat baby softee and a G hook using the catherine wheel stitch! never again! both pics are in the photo album.

Flower Dish Scrubbie

FLOWER SCRUBBIE
Made to look like a sunflower here, but any two color combo would be cool.Use plastic canvas yarn.
NOTE: if you use bleach in your dish water, it will take some of the color out.Do not end off round unless told to do so.
RND 1- with center color, ch 2, 5 sc in second ch from hook.
RND 2- 2 sc in each sc around, join. 12 sts.
RND 3- ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, join. 26 dc including ch 3. when you join, use the petal color to do the sl st and change color. cut center color and leave about 3 inches. work over both ends on the petal round.
RND 4- with petal color, (ch 2, dc in same st. 2 trc in next st, ch 2, sl st in top of last trc, 2 trc in next st, dc in next st, ch 2, sl st in same st at base of dc. sl st in next st) repeat. end by sl st in first stitch of round, end off. weave in end.

Funky Flower Bag

FUNKY FLOWER BAG
This is like the basic hand bag, but i've given it a form to keep it from stretching. the flower patterns are copywrited, so, either use your own pattern or buy "a dozen snazzy doo dads for your kitchen" from annie's attic for the patterns used here.
NOTES: used and H hook and black worseted weight yarn.
BOTTOM
ch 5, join to form a ring.
row 1: ch 1, 12 sc in ring. join to ch 1 with sl st.
row 2: ch 1, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st. around (18 sts) join with sl st to ch 1.
row 3: ch 1, sc in next 2 st, 2 sc in next st, around (24 sts) join with sl st to ch 1.increase 6 st to each round until you're doing sc in the next 10 st, 2 in next sc.
BODY
ch 1, sc around once using front loops for right side to show or back loops for wrong side to show, join with sl st to ch 1. using both loops, go 27 rows up. end off. using plastic canvas, cut a circle to fit the bottom and a strip to fit the side. sew side piece together to form tube. sew circle to bottom to make form. put form inside of purse and whip stitch around top to keep in place.
STRAPS
ch 56, sc 3 or 4 rows and end with a sl st row. end off. make two. attatch to side like you'd sew on a button.
FLOWERS
make enough flowers to decorate as you'd like. either stitch on with fishing line or hot glue in place.
